Kerry Enloe

Exceptional Children's Teacher

Kerry grew up in New York and earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting from SUNY Purchase. After college, she built boats, restored canoes, and painted decorative interiors. Boatbuilding math was critical for creating elegant, functional, and watertight boats. When Kerry decided to earn a Master of Arts in Teaching from Western Carolina University, she chose to study Middle Grades Math in hopes of making math more accessible and realistic for learners.

Kerry is licensed in NC to teach all Middle Grades subjects – Math, English, Social Studies, and Science, as well as Elementary Education, Reading (K-12), and Exceptional Children (K-12). After years of teaching high school, working with elementary and middle school learners at Francine Delany New School for Children is a wonderful opportunity to make an earlier contribution. One of her core beliefs is that building positive relationships with students and their families is key to supporting learners in developing the confidence to succeed academically and as human beings. FDNSC is an extraordinary school of which Kerry is grateful to be a part.

Outside of school, Kerry and her husband Jim share their Hendersonville home with a cat and two dogs, are avid gardeners and plant people, enjoy baseball, books, and time outdoors.
