Kelsey Goss

1st Grade Teacher

Kelsey began teaching in 1997 in Brooklyn, New York. She received her B.A. in Classics from Wesleyan University and her M.S. in Special Education from Bank Street College. She worked in Brooklyn as a second/third-grade special education teacher, fourth-grade inclusion teacher, first-grade general education teacher, and reading specialist. Kelsey moved to Asheville in 2007 and began teaching at FDNSC in 2008 as an exceptional children’s teacher, and in 2010 she took on the role of Exceptional Children’s Coordinator as well. She completed her National Board certification in Early and Middle Childhood Literacy in 2012. She lives with her family in West Asheville, and she is so excited to be returning to the first-grade classroom this year.
