Jean Kelly

3rd Grade Teacher

Jean Kelly first began her teaching journey at Northern Arizona University as an Outdoor Education major in Flagstaff, Arizona.   Her adventures then led her to Bend, Oregon where she discovered an amazing school that inspired her to earn her Masters in Teaching.  Since then, Jean has been teaching and learning alongside kids since 2001.  Since returning to her east coast roots, she taught 4th grade for six years at another charter school in Asheville.  As a cultural ambassador for LEAF Global Arts, Jean blended her deep belief in creating community through connecting cultures by supporting international culture keepers working with local students.  Jean enjoys traveling with her family of 6 as much as spending time with them exploring their farm full of piggies, goats, chickens, dogs, and cats.  Jean is beyond excited to pour her heart into growing with her community at Francine Delany!
