Amanda Dollar
4th Grade Lead Teacher
Amanda first began her teaching journey working with children as an undergraduate at Tulane University. This experience led her to fall in love with the city of New Orleans and opened her eyes to the potential of charter schools. After a lot of fun and some unexpected twists, she entered the Steel Magnolias twilight zone of small-town Louisiana and attained her teaching certification in elementary education. Amanda has a blended family of 6, including a second grader who will attend Francine Delany. In order to escape the Louisiana heat and be closer to family and like-minded folks, she moved to the Asheville area in 2024. This is Amanda’s tenth year teaching. She has taught first grade, fifth grade, and last year fell absolutely in love with fourth grade. She is excited to be part of the Francine Delany family.
