Melodie Meadows

Speech and Language Therapist

Melodie was  born in Asheville, NC and grew up in the beautiful countryside of Leicester, NC.  Spellbound by the mountains, Asheville has always been her home.  She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Carolina University in 1987, followed by a Master of Science degree in the field of Communication Disorders in 1989.  In addition to a teaching certificate, she holds a license to practice from the state of NC, as well as the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association.  Over the past thirty years, Melodie has worked  with children in a variety of settings, including public schools, a pediatric outpatient unit at a rehabilitation hospital, as well as her private practice.  Having provided contract services to Francine Delany at different points over the past ten years, this year Melodie was delighted to join the ranks of the school’s incredibly talented and dedicated educators. Outside of school and her private practice work, Melodie enjoys spending time with family and friends; she particularly enjoys spending time with her granddaughter, Wynnie!  Hikes to area waterfalls and baking are other passions.
