Kiersten Wilber

4th Grade Teacher

Kiersten grew up in Alaska and earned her bachelor’s in environmental science from Northern Arizona University in 2013. She discovered her passion for teaching while working as an environmental educator in Alaska, Colorado, and Montana, and later in Peru as a Peace Corps volunteer.  After returning to the United States in 2016, Kiersten continued working with elementary students as a field instructor in western North Carolina, where she guided students to learn about nature and science through hands-on outdoors experiences. In 2021, Kiersten completed a graduate certificate in elementary education from UNC Charlotte and then taught third grade at Brevard Academy for three years. Kiersten joined the Francine Delany team in 2024. Outside of school, Kiersten enjoys playing the banjo, rock climbing, dancing, canoeing, and exploring with her dog.
