PTO Mission
The mission of PTO is to building community, supporting families, and appreciating the faculty and staff.
Job Descriptions
FDNSC relies heavily on volunteer involvement. Many of the activities at FDNSC would not be possible without our amazing PTO. The PTO structure is listed below:
PTO Steering Committee: Made up of Classroom Parents and other volunteers, the PTO Steering Commitee sets the PTO Calendar, manages the disbursement of funds from the PTO treasury to families in need, and oversees each PTO event throughout the year.
Event Chairs
Event chairs are responsible for planning the event they sign up for. For example, sign up for the event that you are interested in helping plan and run. We know that time is precious, and that sometimes we have to pick and choose where we can put our energies.
Classroom Parents
You are responsible for creating a way of communicating information to your child’s classroom (phone-tree, email list-serve, Google group, etc.), attending PTO meetings, and soliciting volunteers for larger events ( Spring Fling, Winter Performance, etc.). When PTO needs to get the word out about and events, we rely on Classroom Parents to get the word out to our classroom communities.
If you are interested in joining the PTO, email Tyrone Greenlee at tyrone@fdnsc.net
