Francine Delany New School for Children begins the enrollment process each January for the following school year. Any parent wishing to enroll a student at Francine Delany is highly encouraged to learn about our philosophy, governance and expectations for parents, students and teachers.
We are sorry that at this time due to COVID-19, we are not conducting in-person tours. Check our website for updates, in February we will be offering a virtual tour on the website. Please call 828-236-9441 ext. 236 if you have any questions regarding enrollment.
For the 21-22 school year, families can receive an application by clicking the link below or call Debbie at 828-236-9441 ext. 236 to have one mailed. The application deadline for the lottery is March 31, 2021. The new student lottery will be held on April 15th, 2021 at 10:00 AM.
The lottery determines the order in which students will be enrolled for each grade level or placed on the waiting list if space is not available. Applications received after the lottery will be placed on the waiting list in order they are received. Each year we enroll at least 18 kindergartners. Other space in the school is determined by slots opened up by students transferring to another school.
